The Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be having some fun weekly events in June.

Extension K-12 Coordinator Meghan McBride says that the Extension will have different topics that they go over at different libraries for certain days. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what they’ll do at some of the smaller Guthrie County Libraries on Wednesday’s.

“We have library programs at the Menlo and Bayard libraries. We will be going over various different topics; flying drones, doing some coding. We’re going to do gravity and a yoga activity in Bayard.”

McBride mentions that they will have similar programs at the Panora Public Library and Mary J Barnett Memorial Library on Thursday’s this month. She mentions that the drone and coding programs will be carried over, but that a board game class where children can learn different board games and make their own will be added. When Mary J Barnett Memorial Library Director Jerri Hawkins mentioned that the programs would be available in June, she was excited to see how everyone liked the drone program.
