Even though their game against Perry got cancelled on Tuesday evening, due to inclement weather. The ADM baseball team picked a 5-4 over the North Polk Comets last in a Raccoon River Conference regular season matchup. The ADM Tigers took the 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning when junior Grant Rychnovsky got on with base hit and came into score when senior Sam Holloway got a solid base hit and got the RBI. North Polk took their only lead of the game when they scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning. The ADM Tigers then responded by getting two runs back in the bottom of the fourth inning when Sam Holloway and Nate Fisher came into score and then the Tigers were only trailing 4-3. Then junior Grant Rychnovsky got his 4th triple of the season in the bottom of the 5th and he also came into score another run for the Tigers to tie the game up to 4-4 a piece. Then in the bottom of the sixth inning junior Rhylan-Stine Smith got a single and advanced to third as the ball got away from the North Polk right fielder, Rhylan-Stine Smith came into score the go ahead run to secure the 5-4 win for the ADM Tigers. Senior Sam Holloway and junior Rhylan-Stine Smith led the ADM Tigers in hits last night both going 3-3 on the night with all of those hits being line drive singles. ADM Tigers Starting pitcher senior Luke Greth pitched five innings while only allowing five hits on four runs when only two of those runs were earned runs while striking out eight North Polk batters on the night but ended getting a no-decision in the game Sophomore Grant Jansen into the game to relieve senior Luke Greth in the top of the sixth inning when he retired the North Polk batters when they went three and three done and also himself a strikeout and ended up getting the win for the ADM Tigers. Then in the top of the seventh senior Sam Holloway faced four North Polk batters and ended getting three strikeouts and did end up getting the save for the ADM Tigers.

This win for the ADM Tigers will give them a overall record of 7-4 and 2-1 in Raccoon River Conference record. The ADM Tigers will continue their busy schedule for this week as they will host the Ballard Bombers in a Raccoon River Conference regular season matchup tonight with a 7:30 pm first pitch. On Friday June 2nd they will host the Ogden Bulldogs in a non-conference game with a 7:30 pm first pitch. Then on Saturday June 3rd they will travel to Boone for varsity baseball invite, things will get underway at 10:00 AM that day.
