The Memorial Day holiday is coming up and there will be some closures and programs happening  in Dallas County.

All Perry City offices including the Perry Water Works Office and Perry Public Library will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. Additionally, garbage routes scheduled for Monday will be picked up on Tuesday. garbage routes on Tuesday will be collected on Wednesday. There will be a Memorial Day service hosted by the Perry Veterans of Foreign Affairs at the Veterans Memorial which is located north of Perry Elementary at 1pm. 

For Adel residents, Adel City Hall and the Adel Public Library will be closed for Memorial Day. Dallas County offices will also be closed in observance of the holiday. There will be a ceremony for Memorial Day hosted by Adel American Legion Penoach Post 464 at 9am on Monday at the Oakdale Cemetery in Adel. 

Additionally, Minburn’s American Legion will have ceremonies starting at the Brown Cemetery at 9:30am, 10am at the Kimrey Cemetery, 10:30am at the Elmwood Cemetery and at a 11am ceremony at the Raccoon River Bridge.
