The Wildcats baseball and softball teams were in action Tuesday night, as the teams traveled to Ogden to face off against the Bulldogs. The softball team got things started for the Wildcats, scoring 1 run in the top of the 1st, but allowing 2 runs in the bottom of the same inning. West Central Valley trailed 1-2 for the next three innings, but was able to collect 2 runs in the top of the fifth to take the 3-2 lead. Neither team scored in the sixth inning, but collected one run each in the seventh, and the Wildcats came home with a 4-3 victory.

The baseball team played a similar close game. Both teams were scoreless in the first two innings, and the Wildcats scored 1 run in the third to take the lead to the seventh inning, where the Bulldogs grabbed a run and forced extra innings. Neither team scored in the eighth or ninth innings, but West Central Valley was able to collect a run in the top of the tenth and hold off Ogden for a 2-1 win.
