The Panorama Panther girls soccer team continued their postseason play on Tuesday. The Panthers were competing in the Class 1A – Region 3 bracket. They were up agains the Pella Christian Eagles.
Both teams came into the game with a lot of momentum. They both won by a combined score of 19-0. This game lived up to the hype. The Panthers and Eagles had a lot of offense in this matchup. Panorama managed to come away with a slim 2-1 lead after the first half.
The second half was equally explosive. Both teams managed to hit the back of the net three times. However, the deciding factor was the extra goal Panorama scored in the first half. The Panthers would narrowly win this one, 5-4.
This win means the Panthers will be back on the pitch on Thursday. They’ll be playing for the Class 1A – Region 3 Regional Championship. The Panthers will up against a familiar foe, the Van Meter Bulldogs. It should be a big rematch in Van Meter. The action starts at 5:30pm tomorrow.
