The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday.
The Board approved a request from Sheriff Adam Infante to purchase a 2023 Dodge Durango for the cost of $42,640 and to trade in an older model for $12,000. The Board approved the purchase at $30,640.
They also approved a request from County Engineer Al Miller to purchase a one new single axle dump truck for $280,200 from Housby Mack. Additionally. the Board approved an out of state trip request to Hoover, Alabama from the Assistant County Attorney Robert Forsell to go a forensic digital training seminar, a two year GASB 75 actuarial services contract with Nyhart, abated mobile home taxes for Harry Knisley for the amount of $6,534 and real estate taxes for the City of Dawson’s property at 411 E 4TH Street for the amount of $6,500.
They also approved the planning and development temporary moratorium request on the development of new event venues, banquet halls and campgrounds in unincorporated Dallas County The moratorium would also direct the planning and development to research and prepare new standards and regulations related to the development of new event venues, banquet halls and campgrounds.
