The Chargers played host to the Madrid Tigers Tuesday night, and both teams came away with big victories. The baseball team had a decently close game, coming away with the 11-7 win. The softball team started things off a little slow with the Tigers, both teams scoring 1 run in the first, then the Chargers grabbed 2 in the third and kept the lead for the rest of the game. The Tigers scored their second and final run in the fourth inning, bringing the score to 3-2 in favor of AC/GC going into the bottom of the fourth. The Chargers in their next two at bats scored 9 more runs, and ended the game in the bottom of the fifth by the ten point rule, taking the season opener in a 13-2 win.
