The Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce hosted their fifth ribbon cutting this year and celebrated a new addition to the community.

The ribbon was cut for Happier at Home at the Sumpter Pharmacy. The business will provide a variety of companion services to older adults such as transportation, meal prep, shopping or day to day chores. Happier at Home President Leslie Herron says that she is also has been owner of Sumpter Pharmacy for the last five years and she thought this would be another service that the community of Adel needed.

“The ability to bring these services to not just Adel but around us is exciting to me. I mean, everybody wants to age in place. Everybody wants to stay in their home. Who wouldn’t? But some can’t and some are on that bubble like they really could if they had a little bit of help. And that’s where we kind of fill a void.”
