The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday night.

The Council approved a liquor license for Sparky’s One stop, fencing permits for the 600 block of State Street, 700 block of Main Street and 500 block of N 5th Street, and building permits for the 100 block of Prairie Street and the 700 block of Brown Street.They then heard from Krissy Swensen with the farmers market. They have 20 vendors at this time, and were approved to bring in a vendor that makes and sells bloody mary’s and mimosas for the morning of July 29th during River Ruckus from 9-11am. The Council also approved their annual contribution to the Guthrie Center Development Group and heard from the compliance officer.

In the compliance officer’s report, it was brought to the Council’s attention that 13 properties had received mowing related notices,while one had received a cleanup notice, and one other was being sent to the city attorney. In the City Hall report, City Clerk Kris Arrasmith gave updates on the city’s budget billing, migration to new programming, and the Council approved gifting a family pool pass to the Guthrie County Hospital Foundation for their health fair.
