The Perry soccer team will jump into action tonight for the first time this postseason when they host Carroll in a 7:00 2A matchup at Dewey Field. Perry earned the top seed in class 2A, substate 8 and will need to win two home games to advance to the state tournament. While Perry earned a first round bye, Carroll had to fight their way through a tough opening round tussle with Sergeant Bluff Luton 4-3. The Tigers enter tonight with a mark of 6-11 and placed 8th in the Raccoon River Conference with a record of 1-6. The winner of tonight’s game will take on the winner of Glenwood and Harlan Wednesday night in Perry (if Perry wins).
