The Jefferson City Council will meet Tuesday night.
The meeting will start with a public hearing on the 2023 fiscal year budget amendment and then the Council will consider approving the amendment following the hearing. Then the Council will consider hiring a police officer, along with considering to approve a ten-year development agreement with Corner View Estates for $150,000 for 100 and 102 North Wilson Avenue, two cost estimates to repair two roofs on the city shed and an outbuilding with the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Additionally, the Council will consider approving two road closures, including one for a private event at Rush Ridge Road on July 1st from 6-10pm and a non-profit event on June 25th with State Street from Elm to Oak Streets from 2-10pm; a resolution for a workforce housing tax incentive application by Rowland Real Estate for a housing project, the third pay estimate for the Wastewater Treatment Plant improvement project, and the first reading on an amend an ordinance for this year’s Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) comes through on July 25th.
Finally, the Council will consider approving a quarterly funding request from Greene County Development Corporation and hearing an annual report from the Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County.
