Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs continued to perform  on day 2 at the Iowa High School State Track and Field Meet

The Mustang boys track and field had two represented events on Friday in the Drake Oval and it started with Anthony Glay in the long jump final and his best attempt went for 20 feet and 11 inches and he placed 5th. Additionally, the 1600 distance medley that consisted of John Kitenge, Jimmy Seeman, Daniel Onwuramaka and AJ Angus finished 10th running a season best.

The Mustang girls track and field had four events represent on Friday. The 4×400 team placed 16th in the preliminaries with a time of 4 min and 7 seconds with Asia Jahangir, Olivia Curtis, Tessa Meggision and Meredith McDermott.

Kileigh Lachacz was back in action in the shot put and she had throw of 36 feet and 3 inches which placed her 10th and Zoey Valenta placed 18th with a throw of 33 feet and 9 inches. Sophia Bauman in the long jump placed 12th with a 16 feet and and 6 inches. Finally, the distance medley team collected 11th place with a time of 4 minutes and 25 seconds with Abby Osborn, Asia Jahangir, Meredith McDermott and Maddy Stevens.
