Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs grabbed a much needed victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off fielder’s choice at the end of the game to beat the Carlisle Wildcats.  The game was tied at six with Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs batting in the bottom of the seventh when Carlisle’s Hayden Mohwinkle induced Tate Perrin to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Carlisle Wildcats had a massive third inning, scoring five runs, but Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs still managed to close a one run deficient in the bottom the seventh and ultimately win.
Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs got things moving in the first inning, when Clayton Campidilli doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Trevor Hamil toed the rubber as the starting pitcher for Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs. He went five innings, allowing five runs on three hits and striking out six.
Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs had nine hits in the game.  Logan Young and Campidilli each collected multiple hits for Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs.  Young went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs in hits.
The Mustangs will take on Boone tonight with first pitch at 7:30pm and Raccoon Valley Radio will broadcast the game on 94.3 99.7 and 1310 AM.
