The ADM Tigers varsity baseball team picked up their third of the season with getting a 8-2 home non-conference win over the Saydel Eagles on Thursday night. Junior starting pitcher Grant Rychnovsky got the bats going for the ADM Tigers when he got on base with a one out triple for his second triple of the season. Senior Nate Fisher had nice solid RBI single in the bottom of the 1st as pinch runner senior Luke Greth came into score the first run of the game for ADM, then senior Ryan Conrad knocked in senior Sam Holloway for a back to back RBI singles to make the score 2-0 after one inning of play. Senior Nate Fisher got himself the second triple of the game for the ADM Tigers and he came around to scored on a infield base hit by senior Ryan Conrad which brought the score to 3-0 at that time. The ADM Tigers did tack on five more runs throughout 4th and through the 6th inning for some insurance runs. Senior Starting pitcher Grant Rychnovsky went five innings while only giving up three runs on three hits with seven strikeouts in the game. Senior Sam Holloway came in relief for Grant Rychnovsky in the top of the six and got three strikeouts in relief, then senior Nate Fisher came out and relieved Sam Holloway in the seventh inning and ended up striking out the final batter for Saydel to secure the 8-2 win for the ADM Tigers. Grant Rychnovsky was the winning pitcher for the ADM Tigers on the night while the losing pitcher was Ryan Van Houten for the Saydel Eagles.
This win for the ADM Tigers varsity baseball team will put them at a 3-1 overall record on the season. ADM Tigers next games will be coming up tonight as they take on Waukee Northwest in a double-header. First game will start at 5:30 pm with the second game to follow that game. The next ADM Tigers baseball radio broadcast will be coming up on Tuesday May 30th in Perry to take on the Bluejays.
