The Perry Community School District will begin their focus on summer projects with the end of the school approaching.
Superintendent Clark Wicks says that they are excited about completing the remodel of Perry Elementary’s kitchen at the end of July, which started in April. Wicks says in addition the Perry Elementary Library will get new carpet and all the walls will get a fresh coat of paint along with the gymnasium that will get a new floor with new paint over the summer. He is thrilled about these improvements coming to the elementary building.
“ It’s going to look like a new building, and it definitely is. But I think that people will be very excited and hopefully that Perry Pride continues to grow.”
Wicks says that the high school’s two main restrooms will be getting a face lift with new flooring and other features. He says that they will not be addressing the middle school after a remodel last year.
