Jed Magee doing another Lincoln program in 2021

A special program will take place this Sunday in Jefferson about one of the most iconic US Presidents. 

The Greene County Historical Society will host Jed Magee of Jefferson at the Historical Museum when he gives a presentation about President Abraham Lincoln and his generals during the Civil War. Magee is an expert on Lincoln and devoted several decades to learning about the former President. 

Part of Magee’s discussion will include a limited number of Union leaders to begin with, since 80 percent of the graduates from the US Military Academy were from the South. Magee believes that once Lincoln found the generals that he could consult with, it would later result in the Union Army overcoming the Confederate Army. 

Sunday’s program is at 2pm and it is free and open to the public.
