Greene County lost a play-in game on Monday night in Class 1A Region 6 high school girls soccer to East Sac County in Wall Lake by a 4-0 final. Coach Maribel Hernandez’ Rams went 1-12 this season while the Raiders move on with a 6-8 record. The Rams ended the regular season on Friday in Jefferson with a 9-0 loss to the same East Sac County team, then faced the Raiders on the road just three days later.

The Rams finished with one win for a second straight season. The 2022 edition scored just four goals, but 2023 started stronger with six goals being scored in the first five matches. However, Greene County got on the scoreboard just once in their last eight contests and that was in their only victory of the season, a shootout win vs. Creston.
