The ADM varsity girls track team traveled to Carlisle for a state qualifying event on Thursday May 11th. Here is how the ADM Girls did in the running events with several top ten finishes. Junior Makayla Crannell placed 2nd and sophomore Jada Grove placed third in the 100 meter run. Sophomore Hannah Desmarais placed 3rd and sophomore Madi James placed 4th in the 400 meter run. Sophomore Mackealin Sutton placed 4th in the 800 meter run. Senior Geneva Timmerman placed 2nd while junior Paige Mattes placed 4th in the 800 meters run. Freshman Elise Coghlan placed 5th and senior Lauren Case placed 8th in the 100 meter hurdles.

The ADM Girls did a great job in the Relay and medley races on the day with many top ten finishes. The team of Aniston Tollari, Jada Grove, Josie Dufoe and Makayla Crannell placed 1st in 4×200 meter relay. The team of Hannah Desmarais, Haley James, Mackealin Sutton placed 1st in the 4×800 meter relay. The team of Calli Seehase, Josi Dufoe, Jada Grove and Aniston Tollari placed 2nd in the 800 sprint medley. The team of Brianna Young, Haley Nelson, Lauren Case and Elisa Coghlan placed 3rd in the 4×100 meter shuttle hurdle. The team of Calli Seehase, Josi Dufoe, Brecken Morse and Geneva Timmerman placed 1st in the distance medley.

Heres is how the ADM girls did in the fielding events. Sophomore London Warmuth placed 1st while Madelyn Roundcount placed 5th in the high jump. Sophomore Kennedy Stanford placed 1st and senior Nicole Storck placed 4th in the Shot put. Freshman Lauren Hagedorn placed 1st and Addison Banse placed 6th in the discus throw. Most of these girls will be heading to the state track meet. The state track meet will start on Thursday May 18th – Saturday May 20th. The state track meet this year will be at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. We will let you know in the coming days what girls made the state track this week.
