Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension 4-H is getting ready for a health workshop.

Extension Youth Development Coordinator Laura Larson says that Guthrie County Hospital contacted the Extension Office and asked if there might be an opportunity to introduce one of the newer doctors to the community, and a 4-H Health Workshop was then scheduled. On Wednesday Dr. Austin Boeckman will be at the Extension Office for an interactive session covering different “what to do if” in potential farming scenarios, as well as review CPR basics, along with assessing the area and assembling first aid kits. The workshop is free and open to the public through registration by end of tomorrow.
