One department at Greene County Medical Center earned a perfect score during its re-accreditation.

The Sleep Lab received its three-year re-accreditation after undergoing a day-long survey with the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, which determines if a sleep program has met the criteria in policies and practices, with 133 different standards.

Care Management Director Amy Sessions says they can live monitor two individuals at the medical center and have the capabilities of doing four at home tests. Sessions points out the signs and symptoms that someone should have a sleep study done include snoring loudly, stop breathing overnight, feeling constantly tired during the day, high blood pressure and obesity.

Referrals are required before a sleep study can be conducted.
