The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board met on Monday. 

The Board approved the school nutrition pricing for the 2023-24 school year, which increased the lunch price by $0.25 cents. Lunch will now be $3 for kindergarten through eighth grade and $3.25 for grades ninth through twelfth. They also approved job descriptions to be posted for a school nutrition chef and assistant volleyball coach as well as approving the restoring wellness program for the investigation and intervention training that cost $8,800 and the School Improvement Advisory Committee membership as presented. 

The Board approved the amendment for the 2022-23 certified budget as presented,  a speaker agreement with Joe Sanfellipo for his keynote services at the 2024 EST Conference and an open enrollment policy resolution which states the district will not approve any open enrollments if insufficient classroom space exists.

They also approved an art curriculum purchase for $13,000, the submission of a flexible student and school support waiver for the high school physical education class to the Iowa Department of Education and nutrition department office furniture purchase for $12,500 from Premier F&E, sale of old equipment as presented. Additionally, they set a public hearing date of June 12th for a daycare fund transfer.
