One non-profit organization in Jefferson recently announced its grant recipients.

Jefferson Rotary Club selected eight community projects that received a total of $9,690 of grant funding through their annual charity fundraiser. Those recipients included $2,321 to the Webb House for updated security system, $2,000 went to Our Community Health Foundation for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, a pair of $1,500 grants went to the Tower View Team for the next rooftop art project and registration fees for youth in need with the Greene County Youth Athletic Association, $769 for the Jefferson Parks and Rec Department to replace lifesaving equipment at the pool, $750 to the Rippey Library for its Library for Little Blessing Boxes, $600 to the Jefferson Library for a collection of materials related to special needs, and $500 to Greene County ISU Extension for summer day camps.

An additional $6,000 will be given to graduating high school seniors and funding has been set aside for an upcoming major project.
