Friday, May 5th
7:44am: Logan Lansman of Jefferson reported a suspected burglary of a residence in the 500 block of West Harrison Street. The Officer is investigating.
8:02am: Susan Ickard of Jefferson reported seeing two teenage males kick her front door in the 600 block of South Oak Street. The door appeared undamaged and the males ran from the area. The Officer patrolled the area and did not find those involved.
9:00am: Scott McCaulley of Kamrar, Iowa, spoke with an Officer regarding issues with a person he was renting a home to in Jefferson. The Officer could not assist with this civil issue and McCaulley was advised to speak with a private attorney.
10:35am: The Slininger – Schroeder Funeral Home requested an Officer for a funeral escort. At approximately 11:06 hours, the Officer completed the escort.
1:37pm: Don Wills of Jefferson reported having caught a stray dog in the 500 block of South Oak Street. The Officer picked up the dog and took it to the Animal Shelter.
2:11pm: Arthur Cook of Jefferson requested a welfare check on his adult daughter in the 200 block of North Elm Street. The Officer performed this check.
3:00pm: An anonymous caller reported trash dumped near the Greene County Fair Grounds. The Officer checked the area and did not find what was reported.
4:17pm: Amber Vance of Jefferson reported a two vehicle, property damage accident at the intersection of Monroe Street / and High Street. The Officer investigated and found a blue “2022” Honda Pilot, driven by Amber Vance, was westbound on West Monroe when she failed to yield to the vehicle on the right in the intersection. A gray “2011” Chrysler Town and Country, driven by Ashley Spaulding struck the Honda Pilot in the passenger side rear tire. This vehicle had an estimated $7,000 damage and the Chrysler Town and Country had an estimated $1,000 damage. As a result of the investigation, Amber Vance of Jefferson was issued a Citation for “Fail to Yield to Vehicle on the Right”
6:24pm: Brad Tronchetti of Jefferson reported having caught a stray dog in the 700 block of South Elm Street. The Officer picked up the dog and took it to the animal shelter.
7:19pm: Kay Skalla of Jefferson reported two young males having an argument near the intersection of South Maple Street and West South Street. The Officer patrolled the area and did not find the two reported.
8:12pm: An Officer issued a parking citation to Samantha Frost – Bush of Jefferson for “Parking Between Lot Line and Curb” in the 400 block of North Oak Street.
8:27pm: Kashia Tuel of Jefferson reported harassment occurring in the 500 block of North Chestnut Street. The Officer is investigating.
9:43pm: Tammy Binkley of Jefferson reported a minor driving without a valid license in the 200 block of West McKinley Street. The Officer located the vehicle and issued the minor driver a citation for “Violation of Instruction Permit Limitation”
11:31pm: The Greene County Medical Center provided information to a Jefferson Officer regarding an ongoing situation. The Officer is investigating.
Saturday, May 6th
10:12am: Morgan Downs of Jefferson reported a stray dog running loose in the 300 block of Edgewood Drive. The Officer looked for the dog and did not find it.
7:44pm: While on patrol, an Officer found debris in the roadway near the intersection of Elm Street and 220th. The Officer cleared the roadway.
8:29pm: An Officer received an anonymous complaint of a person with an active warrant in the 200 block of North high Street. The Officer did not locate the reported person.
10:19pm: An Officer located a stray dog running loose in the 400 block of North Oak Street. The Officer attempted to catch the dog and was unable to do so.
10:22pm: Robert Everet of Jefferson reported barking dogs disturbing the peace in the 500 block of South Locust Street. The Officer spoke with the dog’s owner and they were brought inside for the night.
11:19pm: While on patrol an Officer observed a female, he knew to have active warrants out of Greene County. As a result of further investigation, Audrie Lawrence of Jefferson was placed under arrest for the active warrants for Violation of Pretrial Release and Failure to Appear on charges of Unauthorized use of a Credit Card, Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Offense, and 5th Degree Theft.
Sunday, May 7th
12:47am: While on patrol an Officer found an unsecured door at a business in the 200 block of West Lincoln Way. The Officer found nothing suspicious and the business owner was notified.
1:34am: Greene County Dispatch received an abandoned 911 call. The call mapped to a residence in the 100 block of Lincoln Place. An Officer responded to the residence and found the call had been accidental.
1:57am: While on patrol an Officer found an unsecured door at a business in the 1200 block of North Elm Street. The Officer found nothing suspicious and the business owner was notified.
2:07am: An Officer performed a traffic stop near the intersection of West Central Street and North Oak Street. As a result of the traffic stop and investigation, Todd Geisler of Jefferson was place under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense – Serious Misdemeanor.
8:32am: An Officer was dispatched to Syngenta, 300 American Avenue for an alarm activation. The Officer checked the property and found the alarm had been set off accidentally by an employee.
11:03am: An Officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance at a residence in the 1000 block of West Adams Street.
12:25pm: Jeff Niles of Jefferson reported seeing someone mowing and blowing grass clippings onto the traveled portion of the roadway near the intersection of North Grimmell and Wall Street. The Officer located the person mowing. They were in the process of cleaning the roadway.
4:15pm: Greene County Dispatch received an abandoned 911 call. The call mapped to a residence in the 400 block of Briarwood Bend. The Officer checked the residence and found the call had been accidental.
7:37pm: An Officer was requested to check the welfare of a person at the Greene County Medical Center. The Officer performed the check.
9:19pm: An Officer performed a traffic stop near the intersection of North Elm Street and West Clark Street. As a result of the traffic stop, Rodney Smiley of Logan, Iowa, was issued citations for “Improper use of Registration” and “Violation of Financial Liability Coverage”
8:54pm: Stephanie Eliserio of Jefferson reported debris in the roadway near the intersection of South Elm Street and Greenwood Road. An Officer responded and cleared the roadway.
9:21pm: Robin Bonner of Jefferson requested assistance from an Officer with her minor daughter who was refusing to return home. The Officer assisted in bringing the child to her residence.
