Following one win and two losses against outstanding competition on Saturday at the Nevada Tournament, the Greene County High School boys’ soccer team closes out the regular season with three matches this week. Coach Carl Behne’s Rams are 10-3 and ranked in the Class 2A top 10 heading into a road match tonight in Des Moines at the Cownie Soccer Complex vs. Grand View Christian. A trip to highly ranked Nevada awaits the Rams tomorrow night, then the regular season ends with a home match in Jefferson on Friday at Linduska Field vs. East Sac County (Lake View).

The Heart of Iowa Activities Conference has just five of its eight schools that have soccer, but three are ranked in the top seven according to Power Rankings that help to determine postseason pairings. In Class 2A, Nevada is fifth in the PR, Greene County is sixth, and Perry is seventh.
