The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The Board approved a fireworks permit for Shady Beach at Lake Panorama for July 1st, and a fireworks permit for a private residence at Lake Panorama for July 2nd, 3rd or 4th. They also approved a 28E Agreement with Audubon County Public Health, and a new payroll change notice for Leroy White as a seasonal employee of the Secondary Roads Department.
The Board also discussed the Law Enforcement Center, approving changes to signage. Originally, an aluminum sign was going to be put up inside the entry area, but it was decided to switch to bronze to match outside signage that would be put above the entryway. The outside lettering would be backlit, and say “Guthrie County Jail.” The pricing for the interior sign would become roughly $1,800, and the price for the exterior signage was quoted at roughly $8,800. It was also approved to hold the open house and ribbon cutting for the new jail on June 10th and 11th. The date may change based off final approval from the jail inspector.
