Sunshine and much lighter winds than earlier in the week greeted Heart of Iowa Activities Conference girls’ golfers at the conference tournament on Wednesday east of State Center at Lincoln Valley Golf Course. Coach Heath Telleen watched his team finish last among seven teams with a total of  498 strokes. Perry did not have enough players for a team score. Nevada won the tournament with an 18 hole total of 349, followed by Roland-Story (Story City) 369, West Marshall (State Center) 372, PCM (Monroe) 408, South Hamilton (Jewell) 418, Saydel (Des Moines) 427, followed by the Rams.

The Rams were led by Maya Telleen 114, Taylor Johnston 115, Maggie Mikkelsen 134, and Hallie Monthei 135.

Meet medalist was Olivia Axmear of Nevada at 80 with runner-up honors going to Brinley Carlson of R-S at 83.
