The Dallas Center-Grimes track and field teams made the trip to Pella for the Little Hawkeye Conference meet on Tuesday.

The Mustangs girls track and field placed second out of eight teams in 19 events  with 127 points as they placed behind the Pella in first. The girls 4×800 meter relay team took first with a time of 8 minutes and 5 seconds with Meredith McDermott, Emerson McDermott, Addison Dooley and Maddy Stevens. Additionally, the 4×100 relay team placed second with a time of 51.69 seconds that includes Asia Jahangir, Chloe Wanat Abby Osborn and Ashlyn Menough,  Mara Redenius finished second in the 400 meter hurdles, Emily Meyers grabbed second in the 3000 meter run and Maddy Stevens got the silver in the 1500 meter run.

The Dallas Center-Grimes boy track and field team ranked fourth out of the eight teams in 19 events with 95 points.  The distance medley team won a tight race with a time of 3 minutes and 42 seconds with Jimmy Seeman, Lane Nelsen, Josh Hendricks and AJ Angus. Daniel Onwuramaka placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.9 seconds and Anthony Glay placed second in both the long jump and high jump.
