The Panorama girls track team had two athletes compete in the Drake Relays.

Panorama girls track coach Greg Thompson sat down with me to talk about the performances. When asked about Arilyn Steenblock’s performance he said, “It was a new experience for Arilyn and it kinda showed a little bit. I think that’s going to be invaluable for her as we move forward for maybe the state meet and the next two years in track in field. This experience is I think going to motivate her more.”

Coach Thompson said this about Jaidyn Sellers great performances. “Just the fact that she can maintain her form and maintain her speed longer than everybody else could. We broke down the race, here’s how much time was left on the clock at the halfway mark. Here’s what the time was at the finish and they were virtually even. Everybody else was slowing down and she was maintaining speed. I think that’s really where Jaidyn’s strength is.”
