Monday, May 1st
9:45am: Douglas Tucker reported receiving a Scam Call advising his credit application had been accepted. He had not applied for anything. He ended the call when they asked for personal information. No loss was incurred.
10:40am: An officer was requested at 107 North Olive Street, for an argument between a parent and a 19-year-old daughter. The officer mediated the issue and the daughter moved out.
11:06am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.
2:25pm: The GCMC reported receiving threatening phone calls from a subject in Carroll, who was in a mental ward.
3:05pm: Taylor Stevens reported her boyfriend had broken out her vehicle window, while at 104 West Reed Street. She was not supportive in criminal charges.
3:40pm: A caller advised of juvenile males breaking out windows of the old Middle School building at 203 West Harrison Street. The officer found 21 Double Pane Windows were broken out on the building. Several witnesses provided the names of those involved. The officer is working to contact parents for those involved to move forward with Criminal Mischief charges. The building is still owned by the GC School District. Damages are around $8000.00. The juveniles are also named as involved in the other broken windows in Jefferson recently. The investigation continues.
3:53pm: Rebecca Blanchard reported her neighbor is saying “Hello” to her daughter at the bus stop. She reports it scares her daughter and requested the subject to be told to end the kind gesture.
8:44pm: The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reported a Careless Driver on 220th Street, heading east into Greene County. The officer spotted the reported vehicle and performed a Traffic Stop near 220th and Grimmell Road. The officer spoke to the driver about the complaints from other motorists. The officer did not locate any signs of impairment and allowed the driver to go on their way.
