The high schools of Guthrie County were all able to be represented at the Drake Relays this year.
The greatest performance came from Panorama’s junior Jaidyn Sellers. She performed in the 100 meter and 400 meter races, and the high jump. Sellers took first place in the 100m dash with a time of 12.12 seconds, 1st place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.24 seconds and 8th place in the high jump with a leap of five feet four inches. Panorama’s other competitor, sophomore Arilyan Steenblock took 23rd in the discus throw with a distance of 109 feet one inch.
Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center was able to compete in three events, with senior Austin Kunkle taking 18th place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.94 seconds and junior Payton Jacobe taking 25th in the shot put with a throw of 45 feet 8.75 inches. The AC/GC 4×100 meter team took 44th place with a time of 44.39 seconds, and West Central Valley’s 4×100 meter team came in 73rd with a time of 45.17 seconds.
