The Food Bank of Iowa will make stops in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area in the month of May to distribute food.
Their mobile food pantry truck will be in Redfield on Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30pm at city hall. The Food Bank will also make a stop in Perry from 3 to 5pm on May 20th at the Perry Crossroads Church and they will visit Adel on May 22nd at the New Hope Church from 5 to 7:30pm. Additionally, the Mobile Food Bank will deliver food to the citizens of Panora from 4 to 6pm at the Veterans Auditorium Gymnasium on Thursday.
CEO of the Food Bank of Iowa Michelle Book tells Raccoon Valley Radio that mobile food trucks help to deliver produce, meat, bread and nonperishable items to sites they cannot reach.
“The Food Bank of Iowa is intent on getting enough pounds of food into each and every county we serve to make sure that those food insecure neighbors have what they need in order to prepare meals for their family.”
