Next week will see the start of a fun project for those looking to be in the Adair County Fair.

Buckets of Junk will be available for pick up at the Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach on Monday. The buckets are first come first serve, with 20 buckets available. Madie Carstens with the Extension says that each five gallon bucket is filled with unique pieces of material to create something new.

Individuals will be able to use these pieces of material however they want, but whatever they create can only be made of the materials from the buckets. Buckets and any unused materials can be returned the day of judging on July 11th. There are three age divisions for this fair event: 6th grade, 7-8th grade, and 9-12th grade.
