With the City of Jefferson being announced as a pass-through town on this year’s Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) one organization has scheduled some informational meetings in May.

Jefferson Matters invites anyone who is interested in learning more about RAGBRAI or who may have questions can attend one of two public meetings, including May 2nd and 11th at 7pm at the Welcome Center. Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich says the meetings will focus on one key area that might draw several people to find out more information.

“Especially I encourage you to come if you are a part of an organization or church or something that wants to be a vendor. So maybe it’s food, maybe it’s something else, I mean food I think is probably the main way to go, if you want to be a vendor. So we’ll have all the information you need to know about being a vendor for RAGBRAI, because there are rules, there’s regulations, things we have to do from the state, or from RAGBRAI, and just locally from the city as well. So we’ll get everybody up to snuff on that.”

RAGBRAI will be coming through Jefferson from Carroll and on their way to the next overnight stop in Ames on July 25th.
