10:42am: A deputy investigated a fraud complaint in the 2200 block of M Avenue.

3:04pm: A deputy investigated an alarm in the 500 block of D Avenue.

5:34pm: A deputy investigated a burglary in the 1200 block of Head Street, Churdan.

Thursday, April 27th

6:12am: A deputy investigated an animal neglect complaint in the 100 block of State Street, Scranton.

12:26pm: A deputy, Churdan Fire Department, and Scranton Fire Department responded to a field fire in the 400 block of 150th Street.

3:10pm: The Sheriff and a deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on 170th Street near Terrace Avenue. Fernando Arita of Jefferson who could not provide proper identification lost control of a 2008 Infinity EX35 and entered the South ditch going through a fence and getting stuck in a muddy area in the pastor. Fernando was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to provide financial liability. The estimated damage to the vehicle was 1,000 dollars.

10:17pm: A deputy, Greene County Ambulance, and the Jefferson Fire Department assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a single accident at the intersection of Elm Street and Washington Street.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
