The Des Moines Area Community College in Perry is hosting a celebration of the end of the school year with cheap tacos.

The third annual “Tacopalooza and Job Fair,” is coming up from 4 to 7pm on May 3rd at the Railroad Street parking lot between the DMACC center and the Perry Public Library. Director of the DMACC in Perry Eddie Diaz says that students will be given a coupon to purchase a taco from the three vendors that will be onsite. He also mentions that there will be a chance for students or the public to meet with employers.

One of our mission missions for the community college is workforce development. So we’ve worked with industry and different employers in the community to come to the fair at taco Palooza. So people that are looking to find different opportunities will have employers that are doing on-site interviews and just telling you about their opportunities.”

Diaz adds, students and the public will also be able to cast their votes for which truck provided their favorite taco and the winning vendor will receive a trophy.
