
In Tuesday’s track meet, the Wildcats had some great success. For the girls team, many athletes placed in the top 5 in their events, and the team took an overall 2nd place finish. In the high jump, Talia Williams, Zalina Morse and Malia Fuller took 3rd,4th and 5th places respectively. In the long jump Kinsey Alt took 1st place, in the shot put Lili Gilbert took 3rd, and in the discus Kinsey Alt took 1st, while Hope Hammond grabbed 3rd, and Maya Richter came in 5th.
In the running events, the team took 3rd and 5th place in the 4×100 meter dash, 1st and 3rd in the 4×200, 2nd in the 4×400, 4×800 and sprint medley relays and 1st place in the shuttle hurdle relay. In individual events, Malia Fuller and Zalina Morse took 3rd and 4th places respectively in the 400m hurdles, while Madi Edgington and Abbie Mogle took 4th and 5th places respectively in the 100m hurdles. In the 3000m Taitlin Koch took 2nd and Emma Guzinski took 5th, while in the 1500m Koch took 3rd, while Zoey Kuhl came in 5th.
Kuhl also took 5th in the 800m, while in the 400m Tasha Williams took 1st and Alayna Cather took 5th, and in the 200m Kinsey Alt took 2nd and Breanna Powell grabbed 4th place. In the 100m dash, Tasha Williams took 1st place, breaking a school record with a time of 12.92 seconds. The previous record of 12.93 seconds was set by Olivia McAtee in 2013.
