Greene County and Webster City played high school non-conference golf matches on Tuesday. The girls met at Hamilton County’s Links Public Golf Course and the boys played at Jefferson Community Golf Course.
WC won the girls’ match by a 208-280 score for nine holes. The Rams had the minimum four players for a team score. Maya Telleen shot 65 with 67 by Taylor Johnston, 73 for Alivia Cornell, and 75 by Lillian Sloan. Lynx players Carly Appel and Ally Odland each shot 50.
The Lynx won the boys’ contest 173-177. Jack Hansen led the Rams with a nine hole score of 39, good for medalist honors by two shots over WC’s Braylon Plain. Other scores counting in the Rams’ total were 44 by Milo Taute, 45 from Nathan Behne, and 49 for Parker Fitzpatrick.
