It’s Logan-Magnolia visiting Greene County in a girl/boy high school soccer doubleheader today and tonight at Karber Field in Grand Junction. This is the first girl/boy twin bill of the season after last Friday’s scheduled action vs. Panorama was cancelled due to the weather.

The Rams are 0-5 in girls’ soccer while Lo-Ma is 4-4. Greene County has scored six goals, two more than they had all of last season. Esther Van Horn leads the Rams in scoring with three goals. The Panthers have scored 14 goals with two players recorded four goals apiece.

On the boys’ side, Greene County will be trying to get back in the win column after a 3-2 loss last Thursday to Des Moines Christian. Greene County was ranked number eighth in Class 2A at the time and fell to 6-1 on the season. Gesser Gutierres has 17 goals and Jose Velazco 11 for the Rams. Lo-Ma has a record of no wins and eight losses with just one goal scored in 2023.
