The Brenton Arboretum will help the Perry Public Library celebrate National Libraries Week with a fun program.

The Brenton Arboretum “Trees for Bees Program,” will help the audience learn more about the importance of flowering annuals and perennials to honey bees and native pollinators, but also it’ll teach the significance of what trees do to support bees. Perry Public Library Adult Services Librarian Mindy Farmer talks about the excitement for the program.

“So the theme of National Library Week is there’s more to the story. So we’ve invited the Arboretum to come and tell us more of the story about bees. This is a fun opportunity to come and learn more.”

Brenton Arboretum Executive Director Melissa Burdick will be hosting the free program in the library community room from 1 to 2pm on Thursday. No registration is required.
