The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The Board heard department head updates from County Conservation Director Brad Halterman, Veteran Affairs Coordinator Beth Watson and Health Services and Transfer Station Director Jotham Arber. The Board approved the quarterly report from Watson, and landfill operational permitting with SCS and a payroll change notice for Public Health Nurse Sarah Hart.

They also approved signing the County Substance Abuse Programs for fiscal year 2024 Guthrie County Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Grant, assigning County Auditor Dani Fink as the authorized signatory for the grant, before discussing a possible open house date for the new Guthrie County Jail once it’s finished. The Board finished the meeting by appointing Jennifer Policky and Donna Meyer to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
