A free program is being offered in Greene County about a tragic historical event.
The “Lessons of the Holocaust” will be held at the Paton-Churdan School on Tuesday, April 25th at 10am. The program will examine the rise of the Nazi Party in Germany, along with the prison camps, survivor stories and there will be a short video about a survivor and a person that helped that individual. Brad Wilkening with the Commission on Holocaust Education is hoping that this program will bring awareness about being more humane to people, while also showing compassion and understanding.
The free program is made possible with the Churdan Library and grant funds from the Communities 4 Children and Community Partnerships for Protecting Children Neighborhood/Community Networks Mini Grants.
