In preparation for the Dallas County Fair, there will be dog obedience classes every Monday with the Dallas County Extension and Outreach Office.

The next class will be from 6 to 7:30pm at the extension office on Monday, April 24th. The cost will be $5 for 4-H members, $15 for non-4-H members and $25 for adults. This class is for any and all dogs that are six months and older and the dog owner must show proof their dog has their rabies vaccination. Extension and Outreach Regional Director Ann Torbert talks more about the classes.

“We have wonderful volunteers who provide great coaching and guidance for those who are needing some help with working with their dog, maybe even a puppy at some point if it’s like a year old. But they’re great volunteers who come out and provide the leadership for that.”

Those looking to attend must get registered and the information can be found here.
