Iowans that served in the military can now get hunting and fishing licenses at a discounted rate.

The Armed Forces Hunt and Fish and Armed Forces Fishing licenses with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources were recently approved at an annual cost of $7 for either license. According to the DNR, these licenses are for any Iowa military veteran or for those who are currently serving. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit a license application along with a copy of their DD214 form. Once approved, the applicant can purchase the license from any DNR vendor, including the county recorder’s office.
