Greene County has high school track & field, golf, and soccer on the schedule today and tonight, weather permitting. The Rams are hoping rain and threatening weather moves out of the area in time for competitions to be held.

The girls and boys are set to go to Carroll’s athletic field for a coed meet. The golfers take on Glidden-Ralston with the girls playing west of Grand Junction at The Hill and the boys in Jefferson at Jefferson Community Golf Course. The girls play soccer in State Center vs. West Marshall and the boys are home in Grand Junction at Karber Field vs. Des Moines Christian. Girls soccer is varsity only while the boys are scheduled for JV and varsity action.

Today is the last day track & field performances count for Drake Relays qualification. A check of the statistical website Bound Iowa shows Greene County qualifying for the 4 x 100 meter relays for both boys and girls as the Relays accepts the fastest 96 quartets in that event. The Greene County girls also have a chance to get to Drake with the 4 x 400 meter relay, and Drake only accepts the fastest 24 in that event.
