The ADM Girls varsity track traveled to Jefferson on Monday April 17th for a coed invitational track meet. Here is how the ADM girls did in the running events as many girls had top ten finishes. Junior MaKayla Crannell placed 1st while teammate Sophomore Jada Grove placed 2nd in the 100 meter dash. Sophomore Jada Grove placed 1st and teammate junior MaKayla Crannell placed 2nd in the 200 meter dash. Sophomore Madi James placed 3rd and sophomore Madison Siefkens placed 5th in the 400 meter dash. Sophomore Mackealin Sutton placed 2nd and sophomore Mallory Davison placed 3rd in the 800 meter run. Freshman Haley James placed 1st while teammate freshman Alaina Nelson placed 2nd in the 1,500 meter run. Junior Paige Mattes got a first place finish in the 3,000 meter run. Freshman Elise Coghlan placed 3rd and senior Lauren Case placed 5th in the 100 meter hurdles. Freshman Elise Coghlan placed 1st in the 400 meter hurdles.
ADM girls did very well in the medley and distance running events on the day. The team of Josi Dufoe, Lauryn Troster, Calli Seehase, and Peyton Standley placed 1st in the 4×100 meter relay. The team of Calli Seehase, Jada Grove, Josi Dufoe and MaKayla Crannell placed 1st in the 4×200 meter relay. The team of Hannah Desmarais, Aniston Tollari, Elise Coghlan and Brecken Morse placed 3rd in the 4×400 meter relay. The team of Haley James, Madi James, Brecken Morse and Hannah Desmarais placed 1st in the 4×800 meter relay. The team of Josi Dufoe, Calli Seehase, Jada Grove, MaKayla Crannell placed 1st in the 800 sprint medley. The team of Lauren Case, Haley Nelson, Eliza Schmidt placed 2nd in the 4×100 meter shuttle hurdle. Team of Aniston Tollari, Peyton Standley, Madi James, Mackealin Sutton placed 1st in the distance medley.
The ADM Girls had some girls place in the top five of the fielding events. Freshman Madelyn Roundcount had a tie for 2nd place with Greene County Lila Osterson. Sophomore Aniston Tollari placed second in the long jump. Sophomore Kennedy Stanford placed 4th while teammate Freshman Lauren Hagedorn placed 5th in the shot put. Freshman Lauren Hagedorn placed 2nd and Senior Addison Banse placed 5th in the discus throw.
ADM girls finished in 1st placed on the day with 199 points, and runner-up was Carroll who had 127.5 points. The next ADM girls varsity track meet will be Thursday April 20th in Newton for a invitational. That meet starts at 4:30 PM.
