A severe weather warning came through portions of the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area Wednesday night 

The National Weather Service issued the a severe thunderstorm warning at 8:41pm for southern Dallas County, southeastern Guthrie, and parts of Adair and Madison counties. The primary threats were severe thunder, heavy rainfall, high winds and radar-indicated quarter-size hail. The warning then was canceled at 9:30 p.m. 

Emergency Management Coordinator for Adair and Guthrie County Bob Kempf added that there were small hail pockets south of Casey and near Stuart. He also reported that hard rain and lightning were the main contributors to the severe weather. 

Three Raccoon Valley Radio staff took part in the coverage. Raccoon Valley Radio provides live coverage of severe weather anytime there is a thunderstorm or tornado warning issued for Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties.
