Monday saw Greene County and Ft. Dodge St. Edmond girls and boys golfers square off vs. one another. The Rams won 230-237 in girls’ golf  at The Hill west of Grand Junction and the Gaels won the boys’ match 169-184 north of Ft. Dodge at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course.

Coach Heath Telleen’s girls had the minimum four golfers, but that was enough for the victory. Hallie Monthei shot 56 with 57 turned in by both Maya Telleen and Maggie Mikkelsen, while Taylor Johnston shot 60. The coach said the victory was a massive step for the team, which shot a season low score.

Jack Hansen took runner-up medalist honors at Ft. Dodge with a 39. Other Greene County scores counting in the team total were 46 by Cody McCollom, 49 for Nathan Towers, and 50 from Milo Taute.
