Greene County played nine holes of boys’ golf on Friday north of Ogden at the Don Williams Course. Roland-Story (Story City) was the winner with 178 strokes, just two better than the 180 turned in by the Rams. Ogden shot 188. The meet was played under warm and windy conditions.
Jack Hansen of Greene County was meet medalist at 41. The other scores counting in the team total for the Rams were 44 by Cody McCollom, 47 from Nathan Towers, and 48 for Milo Taute.
Hansen, a junior, has a combined nine and 18 hole average of 40 strokes, positioning him in the top 30 of Class 3A golfers. He also is a starter on Greene County’s top 10 ranked and undefeated boys’ soccer team, finding a way to be a two-sport standout this Spring.
