The Panora City Council met in regular session Monday night.

The meeting started with a public hearing pertaining to the fiscal year 2023-24 budget, and after no comments, questions or concerns were brought forward, the Council approved the 2023-24 budget. They then approved a request from the Panora Library to install a recreational ping pong table near the musical instruments on the square subject to a written maintenance contract being drafted.

The Council also approved a local planning and administrative assistance contract with Region XII Council of Governments pertaining to the Upper Story Housing Project, then approved an updated Bad Debt Policy, and approved the request of Public Works Director Tony Monthei for three new water valves for the Jackson Street Project, and considered a request from the Guthrie County Arts Council to allow the consumption of wine on the square, but no action was taken at the time.
