A Dallas Center farm was named by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship recipient of a cost-share grant. 

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig awarded 28 Choose Iowa cost-share grants to either Iowa farmers, small businesses or nonprofits that total the amount of $463,000. Brewer Family Farm LLC, located in Dallas Center, was named one of the 28 recipients and was awarded $14,960 to add value-added meats for schools through the farm to school program. 

The cost-share dollars leverage additional private investment. It was created to assist Iowa farmers, businesses and non-profit organizations with their efforts to increase or diversify their agricultural products to improve the supply chain.
